The Kill Team 2024 (3rd Edition) Battle Box houses everything you need to play the latest edition of Kill Team in a compact form, small enough to fit into a backpack.

Starting at the top, the lid of the Battle Box, once unclipped, combines with the front slide of the box (acting as a back board) and the retained dice holders, to become the ultimate Kill Team dice tray.

Next up, there is space to fit the Crossfire Games Essentials Box, which in turn holds all of your tokens, equipment, cards, measure tools and dice needed to play the game.

The central cavity of the Battle Box provides space to store a couple of your favourite Kill Teams, which can be magnetised to the ferrous sheet on the removable troop tray, big enough to accommodate 40x 25mm bases and with enough head room to fit even the tallest official Kill Team models.  Also in this space is a holster on the back wall, to accommodate a 3mm thick acrylic 6” x 3” x 2” x 1” measure tool.

Finally, in the base of the box, is a removable draw designed to hold the retained dice holders for the dice tray, as well as space for more sleeved tarot sized cards or dice or wound counters – the Battle Box has been designed to accommodate your preferred set up. Whatever that may be!

These factors, combined with black, top quality, clasps, screws, D-rings and a paracord handle, make this the ultimate Kill Team accessory.

 

Modularity is Key

Our design philosophy prioritises modularity – the Battle Box is both compact and modular, but also  provides many features that will make your Kill Team games easier to track.

Everything in the Battle Box is removable, allowing ease of access to anything you need quickly.  Need to pack a new Kill Team?  Remove the tray and take it over to you model storage.  Need to get to your Objectives first?  These are stored in the Essentials Box, positioned at the top of the Battle Box.

 

Dice Tray of the Future

As seasoned players of Kill Team, our aim was to incorporate a dice tray that would go beyond expectations, providing additional value to your game.

Lining the bottom of the tray is a 1.5mm thick sponge pad, tested to ensure that it provides a roll that is quiet but also doesn’t bounce the dice out of the tray.

Retained dice holders slot onto the side of the tray, designed to provide a space to place up to 6 retained dice after you have rolled, to ensure that they don’t get mixed up, bumped or moved.  The front slide of the Battle Box slots into these dice holders, doubling as a backboard and allowing you to really throw your dice into the tray without fearing that they will bounce out.  But that’s not all it does - on the backboard there are token holders that allow both you and your opponent to place your Faction Tokens (20mm Equipment Tokens sold in the Faction Token Sets), providing a constant visual reminder that you still have Krak or Stun Grenades available to use.  There is space for 8 tokens per player, and they will also hold the trapezium tokens too.

Finally, a slide system, designed to hold the Crossfire Games Strategy Ploy Tokens (coming soon), provides a reminder of what strategy ploys you have active in that Turning Point.

 

Space is Used to its Fullest Potential

The base of the Battle Box provides a drawer, designed to accommodate whatever else you might need to play Kill Team.  At 37mm deep, the left side of the drawer is walled off, providing a place to store the retained dice holders during transit.  There are also two sections that are half walled off, designed to hold the sleeved Tarot sized cards that Games Workshop uses in their Approved Ops Card decks, as well as the faction cards.  We even include 3 card dividers for the Approved Op Cards, allowing you to divide your cards into sections: Missions, Tac Ops and Misc.  If you would rather use these spaces to hold extra dice and wound counters, we have you covered with a removable divider that can be used to complete the dividing wall.  Alternatively, you could use one side for cards and one for dice and Wound Counters – again, it’s your choice!

 

Which Version is Right for You?

Because of its modular design, the Battle Box is available in several versions, each based around your choice of Essentials Box and the corresponding Token Caddie.

Essentials Box

The Kill Team 2024 (3rd Edition) Essentials Box houses everything you need to play the current edition of Kill Team.  Inside, you have space for all the necessary pieces of equipment (1x Large Barricade, 1x Portable Barricade, 1x Barbed Wire, 2x Normal Barricades, 2x Ladders)*, plus:

- The Approved Ops 2024 Card Pack (Sleeved)
- A Crossfire Games Token Caddie
- Both 3" and 6" types of GW Measure Tools
- 5x Equipment Control Markers
- 3x Objective Control Markers
- 2 laser pointers (laser line) similar in size to the standard Army Painter ones
- 8x 16mm dice and 24x 12mm dice.

The Essentials Box is 3D printed from tough-wearing PLA+ Plastic, and the lid is held in place by 14x 4x1mm rare earth magnets.  In each dice compartment one side is angled, so the dice are easier to remove from the box.

*All the rest of the equipment models (Smoke Grenade, Comms Array, Ammo Cache) are supposed to be replaced by the 20mm tokens, for ease of measuring.

 

Make it Your Way

Our design philosophy prioritises modularity and futureproofing. 

With the Essentials Box, modularity is key: in the Measure Tool slot, you can fit up to 4x 6" GW Measure Sticks, or a custom 1" x 2" x 3" x 6" Measure Tool and 2 GW Measure Sticks, or it can all be replaced with a Crossfire Games 12" Multi Measure Stick (sold separately).

Modularity is also prioritised in the design of the main compartment, which houses the Approved Op Cards and Token Caddie.  If you wish, you can remove the cards and replace them with another caddie or, better still, put in the 3 included dividers and now you have 3 extra compartments to store extra dice, wound counters or magnetised pieces of your models.

 

Choose Your Lid

Two versions of the Essentials Box lid are available for you to choose from:

Logo Lid displays the Crossfire Games logo

Score Card Lid has a complete, comprehensive score card for you to use, which includes:

- 3 slots for the Crit Op card and both players’ Tac Op cards, when they are revealed.
- The ability to track, using D6 16mm dice: you and your opponent’s CP and Faction Rules (if any); the current Turning Point; you and your opponent’s Crit Op and Tac Op score in Turning Points 2, 3 and 4; how many kills you both have made; and finally, both you and your opponent’s Kill Op and Primary Op score.

Should the GW designers change how the game is scored in the next edition of Kill Team, you won’t have to buy a whole new box for each edition; our futureproofed design means that Crossfire Games will be able to produce a revised lid, which you will be able to use to update your original box.

 

Choose Your Token Caddie.

With our Token Caddies all adhering to the dimensions of the Approved Ops Cards, you can now choose which Token Caddie you want in your Kill Team Essentials Box.

The Universal variation has been designed to house all of the universal tokens that were released with the 2024 edition, allowing every token to be stored in a specific place.

Inside the Universal variation you have space for:

- 1x hexagonal Initiative Marker
- 3x 40mm Objective Markers
- 3x -/+ APL Tokens
- 15x Engage Tokens
- 15x Conceal Tokens
- 10x 20mm round Recon/Infiltration Tokens
- 10x 20mm round Security/Seek & Destroy Tokens
- 10x Wounded/Guard Tokens
- 13x 20mm round Equipment Tokens
- 10x Miscellaneous Tokens.

Totalling:
- 53x trapezium tokens
- 33x 20mm round tokens

The Universal + Faction variation has deeper token wells, giving you more room to house not only the Universal Tokens, released with the 2024 edition, but also whichever Faction Tokens you need to play the game.

Inside the Universal + Faction variation you have space for:

- 70x trapezium tokens (7 token wells that can hold 10 tokens each)
- 40x 20mm round tokens (4 token wells that can hold 10 tokens each)
- 3x 40mm round tokens
- 1x hexagonal token.

The Crossfire Games 3mm Universal variation is designed to hold the 3mm tokens produced by Crossfire Games. As these are thicker, the orientation of the tokens has shifted so they are vertical, allowing for easier access. This variation can hold the Crossfire Games 3mm Universal Token set, as well as your choice of a Crossfire Games 3mm Faction Token set.

Inside the Crossfire Games 3mm Universal variation, you have space for:

- The complete Crossfire Games 3mm Universal Token Set
- Plus, room for a Crossfire Games 3mm Faction Token set of your choice.
